Outdoor Products FAQs
Can I place a fire pit on my wooden patio?
We don't recommend to do so. The fire pit does get hot underneath, which can cause marks on the wood. The same goes for placing the fire pit on grass - the fire pit can potentially cause marks on the grass.
We always recommend placing the a fire pit on a safe and solid surface, such as stone or concrete.

How much heat does a patio heater produce?
The amount of heat a patio heater produces is different from model to model. You can get both freestanding patio heaters, tabletop patio heaters and mounted patio heaters, and the heat output varies.
Some table patio heaters produce up to 20 kW of heat, and some freestanding patio heaters produce up to 14 kW of heat, whereas the smaller mounted gas heaters produce 7 kW of heat. So, it all depends on the model of patio heater, the size of your area, and how much heat you'd like from your patio heater.
Which patio heater is most effective?
Some of the most effective patio heaters are our Happy Cocooning fire tables what has a maximum heat output of 19.5 kW of heat. However, a gas table might not be what you're looking for, and out freestanding gas patio heaters might be a good solution. Some of our freestanding patio heaters has a maximum heat output of 11 kW, which is also quite efficient.
Will my outdoor fire get rusty?
That depends on what outdoor fireplace you have. Most outdoor garden fires will get rusty over time, as this is part of the design. The same goes for fire pits and fire bowls, which is why we always recommend to get a protective cover to expand the life of your outdoor fireplace.
You can also get outdoor bioethanol burners that are made in high quality steel that can withstand the UK weather. However, the outdoor bioethanol burners do rust over time, so we always recommend to bring outdoor bioethanol burners indoor when not in use for longer periods.
Where to store a gas bottle?
It's possible to store (and hide!) a gas bottle in a so-called bottle cover. This is a really great solution to store the gas bottle away as well as get a good looking enclosure that's part of the garden design.
