How does a fire pit work?
Lighting up a fire brazier to create a warm and inviting atmosphere is simple. The key is to ensure that the firewood is securely placed within the brazier. We recommend positioning garden braziers on a stable surface for safety.
To ignite the fire, use fire sticks, kindling sticks, and spirit kindling tablets or kindling bags. It's crucial to use dry wood and kindling sticks, as they ignite more easily and efficiently.
Start by placing the wood at the bottom of the brazier, then layer the kindling on top, adding kindling blocks last. These ignite quickly, ensuring a fast and eco-friendly burn. For an environmentally conscious choice, consider using eco-friendly fire starters.

Outdoor cosiness with bonfire, flames, and heat
There's nothing quite like spending a late evening in the garden or on the terrace, enjoying the warmth and glow of a fire. The fire brazier not only provides practicality but also becomes a focal point for gatherings. Share stories, watch the mesmerizing flames, and perhaps cook some food over the open fire for an unforgettable experience.
The lively flames, comforting warmth, and cozy atmosphere created by the fire are invaluable, evoking memories of campfires and childhood. These moments can be cherished as long as the fire is maintained.
A significant advantage of fire pans is their longevity; the flames endure as long as you continue to add wood to the brazier.
For those who prefer not to deal with open flames, we offer a selection of patio heaters to extend your evenings with warmth and ambiance.
What is a garden firepit?
A fire pit is the perfect solution for your garden or patio as it not only creates a cosy atmosphere but also provides warmth and light. A fire dish is easy to install and is available at an affordable price. The dish, in which the dry wood is placed, usually stands on 3 or 4 legs, with some models offering the possibility of wood storage under the fire dish.
Our fire pits are typically made of steel and iron, as these materials can handle the heat from the flames. Often, the fire pit is chosen in black, as it is not sensitive to the soot and ash that is emitted from the fire pieces. Besides the practical choice of colour, the black colour also contrasts nicely with the orange flame, which helps to create the cosy atmosphere around the fire.

What garden fire pit should I choose?
When it comes to which fire pit to choose, there are several things to consider:
- Where should the fire pit be placed?
- What will the fire pit be used for?
- How often will you use your pyre dish?
These things are good to have in your considerations when choosing your new bonfire site. The location of the fire is important for both the size, but also whether it should have a spark catcher, for example. If the fire basket is to be placed on or near a wooden terrace, a spark catcher might be a good idea! If, on the other hand, it is to be placed on a fire pit where many people will be sitting around the fire, then a large fire basket would be a good choice.
The use of the fire pit also has something to say about its choice. If you want to cook over the fire, you may want to choose a fire pit with a grate, or a fire basket with a stand to hang a fire pot over the fire.
And how often you want to make a fire will play into the quality of the fire pit you choose. If you want to make fires often, buying a good quality fire pit will be a good choice. If, on the other hand, you want it to look good, you might want to choose a designer fire pit.

Is it safe to have a garden fire pit?
First of all, it is important to remember that this is an open fire, and fire is always dangerous. It's all about using common sense, avoiding making quick and large movements near the flames and if there are children around they shouldn't play near the fire pit or fire brazier.
For safety reasons, we recommend lighting the fire in a fire bowl or fire basket made of fireproof materials, so you can enjoy your fireplace quietly and without worry.
As another safety precaution, it is a good idea to purchase a good quality fire dish so that it is not easily knocked over. Should the unfortunate happen that the fire falls over, we would advise you to always have a bucket of water next to the fire pit.
Finally, as the owner of a fire pit or garden fire, you should always ensure that the conditions are suitable. For example, you need to be extra careful during summer droughts, and pay particular attention to the recommendations issued by the authorities.
We also often get the question, 'Can a fire pit be on a wooden patio?', and here our answer is that it's not a very good idea. However, you can place a base plate under the fire pit and buy a fire pit with a spark arrester, but this is still no guarantee that accidents cannot happen.
