Westbo of Sweden
Westbo of Sweden is a distinguished manufacturer of cast iron fireplaces, with a rich history rooted in traditional Swedish craftsmanship. Originally known for producing wood-burning stoves, Westbo has expanded its range in recent years to include bioethanol and electric fireplaces.
Given Sweden's climate, with over 100 rainy days annually and average temperatures below 10°C, these fireplaces are ideal for bringing warmth and comfort to any home.
Inspired by centuries-old production methods, Westbo’s designs reflect a classic aesthetic reminiscent of traditional tiled stoves. Among their most iconic models are the Carl, Victoria, and Classic fireplaces, each embodying timeless elegance.
Carl, Victoria, and Classic
Three classics from West of Sweden: Westbo Carl, Westbo Victoria, and Westbo Classic. They have been in the range for many years, and it is still these fireplaces that Westbo of Sweden focus on. Why change something that works so well?
Carl is the smallest version - available for bioethanol and electricity. It is thus called Carl bioethanol and Carl Electric. The colour is black and is produced in the familiar cast iron. It is filled and decorated with details and the beautiful logo of the manufacturer.
Victoria is slightly larger than Carl. The dimensions are square and it is available in different sizes. Westbo Victoria is a classic in a traditional design that stands in an incredible number of homes. It is a typical stove associated with Sweden and Swedish design. Westbo Victoria is available as bioethanol and electric.
Classic is the highest model within the product series. People immediately associate the unique style of the fireplace with Westbo. It is a signature stove from Westbo of Sweden. Their motif is engraved on large parts of the fireplace, so there is no doubt that it is from West of Sweden. Classic is only made as a wood burning stove and with an electric insert.
Electric fireplace from Westbo
Westbo Electric, as the series is called, is a new bestseller from the Swedish manufacturer. Westbo of Sweden has managed to develop a very special electric lighted fireplace insert. It can heat, it can light, and then it just shines in their beautiful cast iron fireplaces. Rarely have we seen such a good match between a fireplace and electric insert.
The electric fireplace insert can also be bought loose and the model is called Ignis. Westbo Ignis can thus transform ordinary fireplaces, wood stoves, and open fireplaces into an electric fireplace.
We, at Bioethanol-Fireplace.co.uk, are certainly impressed - and so are our customers!

Tiled stove, but chimney-free
We often associate beautiful cast iron fireplaces with a real tiled stove. Common to all Westbo stoves is that there is glass almost all around the fireplace, so the fire and flames can be enjoyed by those around the fireplace. Not just the heat, but also the beautiful dancing flames.
A Westbo stove will last for many years. The sturdy cast iron rarely wears out, so you can let the Westbo fireplace move in as the new family member - it will be by your side forever. Westbo of Sweden is renowned for their high quality, and this is seen in their popularity.
Thus, in recent times, Westbo has started to focus on the decorative aspect of their fireplaces versus the heating effect. They are constantly trying to develop a new and improved flame experience, so that it meets today's demands for design and not least the environment.
