What is an Opti-Myst Vapour Fireplace?
An Opti-Myst Vapour Fireplace is powered by water and electricity. The name "hybrid" comes from how the fireplace is powered - water and electricity. These fireplaces are often referred to as water fireplace, vapour fireplace, Opti-Myst or Mystic Fire. This type of fireplace was created by Dimplex where it becomes exceptionally easy to manage, maintain and enjoy a fireplace with no risks and little to no requirements. By simply pouring water into a tank located within the vapour fireplace, it becomes fuelled and, on activation, emits a vapour with a flame-like appearance. Once the device has been plugged into an electrical outlet and filled with water, it is ready to be turned on. The fireplace can be used for hours at a time before it is necessary to refill the water tank.
You can get an authentic and beautiful flame created with water vapour and a light source which create a wonderful flame play all together.
Water Fireplace for your Home Without a Chimney
The flames fascinate us and we are many who would love to have a fireplace at home. However, it is not always possible if we do not have a chimney in our home. Traditional wood burning stoves also pollute. So in contrast to this, the solution has been invented - amazing, modern, eco-friendly water vapour fire. Create a flame effect in your home without the risk of burning and without an excessive heat. Our water vapour electric fires are available with and without a heater so they can also produce heat if desired. And, they do not require the chimney - they simply need to be installed! With such an easy approach in installation, it is only natural to have multiple variants so that vapour fireplaces can be designed to your personal liking. Some of these designs include the OptiMyst fireplace insert, where the premise of the design is to have it installed directly in the wall to apply an aesthetic and original touch to your wall. For example, this could be used to add a loving dance of flames under your TV, especially since the flames pose no risk of harming the television, making it an ideal opportunity to show off beautiful flames while watching a movie with friends and family. Insert fireplaces are designed to fit into existing fireplace openings or mantels. They are intended to be installed within a pre-existing fireplace space to create the illusion of a real fire. These inserts can be a great option for those who want to convert a traditional wood-burning or gas fireplace into an electric one.
Another great alternative would be the OptiMyst wall mounted fire, designed to be mounted on a wall, similarly to the fireplace insert. The difference, however, is the fact that a wall-mounted variant does not require an already-existing opening to be installed. Instead, it will simply be mounted on the wall without the need of a traditional fireplace structure, such as ventilation through chimney shafts.
How are the Flames Created in a Water Vapour Fireplace?
Most vapour fireplaces feature the generous Opti-Myst technology, patented by Faber, who has been a dominant player in the water fireplace industry for years. This technology is a combination of light and small water drops to create the beautiful flames. According to this theory, vapour electric fires have a separate water tank built in from which water droplets are produced via a transducer. This process occurs when small bulbs of either halogen or LED heat the air which pushes the drops up. These are reflected in the light which creates the inspiring flame effect.
One more thing which the vapour-based fireplace reigns supreme in is the lacking need to clean the fireplace. Over time, Opti-myst vapor fireplaces may require minimal maintenance to ensure they continue operating at their best. The water tank, which is responsible for creating the vapor effect, should be periodically checked and refilled as needed. It's essential to use distilled water to prevent mineral buildup that might affect the mist's quality. These ways of maintaining the fireplace take little time in total to finish and ensure a quality of perfectly illuminated flames without worry of the fireplace deteriorating over time. By doing these simple things, the lifespan of the Opti Myst increases greatly, and who wouldn't want the flicker of a flame to last as long as possible to keep everyone cosy for the lovely interior of one's home or workplace.
Naturally, it is important to clarify that these fireplaces will include manuals with elaborate instructions of their usage and maintenance, as well as a way of getting in touch with relevant technical, should it ever become necessary. Faber and Dimplex are two recognised companies that both offer fireplace products, like the Opi-Myst, to interested individuals looking for an exquisite and innovative experience and cares about the warming presentation of an interior design.
Evolution of electric vapour-based fireplaces
The earliest models of electric fireplaces took inspiration from using mirrors and glowing elements, creating flame-like lighting. These first products had difficulty replicating the authentic look of fire and, at times, had trouble making electric fireplaces seem immersive to individuals. This makes it all the more elevating when reflecting on how far the Opti-Myst fireplace has come. Now, it is possible to mimic flames with ease, just by combining vapour, lights and the aesthetic similarity of a conventional fire.
As Opti-myst and similar technologies gained attention, electric fireplaces experienced a surge in popularity. People began to appreciate the convenience, safety, and versatility that electric fireplaces offered. These fireplaces were in no need of venting, were easy to install, and could be placed in a variety of locations without the need for a chimney or gas lines. With such a multitude of benefits, it is hard to deny the potential and impressive advancement of the Opti Myst, not only when compared to traditional fireplaces, but also technological aesthetics in general. There is no saying how much untapped potential there still lies in the field of fireplaces, let alone the ones that are electric, but one thing is certain; with enough passion for flames and beauty, anyone can attain burning love in one's home.
