How to use bioethanol fireplace fragrances
Add a scent to your bioethanol fireplace
At Bioethanol-Fireplace.co.uk we offer several different fragrances that can be used together with your bioethanol fuel.
When you use scented oils with your bio fireplace, we recommend that you use it together with a small metal bowl, which is placed right next to the bioethanol burner, in order to heat up the bowl and thus activate the scented oils.
A few drops are usually enough to create scents for an entire filling of your bioethanol fireplace. If you want a stronger scent, you can choose to add more drops to the metal bowl.
Don't have a metal bowl?
Don't worry, your hopes of using fragrance oils in your bioethanol fireplace are not lost. The metal or ceramic bowl that you place in your bioethanol fireplace, does not have to be anything fancy and if you don't have a smart little bowl like the one we sell, you can actually use something that the vast majority of us already have at home.
The small metal form that tealights come in is perfect to use with the scented oils. Simply take the tealight out of the meal holder and you are now ready to use it together with our fragrance oils.
How much fragrance should I use?
We recommend that you fill 3-5 drops of oil in your metal bowl the first time you use the scented oils. This gives a nice, pleasant and subdued aroma from the fragrance oils.
If you want a stronger scent, you can simply add more drops of oil next time.
Mix the fragrance oils with water
If you feel that the scent from the 3-5 drops is too strong, you can choose to add less or you can try to mix the drops with a few drops of water to lower the intensity of the fragrance oils.
This gives a more subdued and balanced evaporation of the oil and will give a less strong scent.
