Create Better Acoustics With I-wood Panels
Generally for I-Wood Acoustic panels
I-Wood panels are built around a single piece of MDF, where the grooves are milled out for felt, and the surface is finished in oak veneer as standard, giving an aesthetic and elegant look to the room.
Because the panels are made from one whole piece of MDF, installation and assembly is extremely easy. You can simply fasten the panels to a place with a nail gun, or by using mounting glue.
The panels are available in the following oils: natural, white, clear, brown, dark brown, black and white painted. In addition to the various oak veneer finishes, you can also choose a walnut veneer finish.
Further configurations of the panels can be made by choosing between black or grey felt. he felt is made from recycled plastic which is collected from the world's oceans, among other things.
Finally, you can choose whether the MDF panel should have a natural clear colour or whether it should be solid black. The MDF core will be visible at both ends of the acoustic panels and on the panel where there is a change between the slat and felt. If you choose one of the darker oil finishes, you may want to choose the black core as this will give a more plain look.
I-Wood Basic
Basic is I-Wood's most affordable acoustic panel. Basic is often used as cladding on walls, fireplaces, counters or cabinet modules. The panels are without finger joints and can therefore be difficult to extend in length, without visible transitions.
Size:
I-Wood Basic is available in 2400mm and 2780mm as standard. the width is 300mm.
Width on slat: 34mm | Width on milling: 16mm | Thickness on slat: 10mm | Thickness on felt: 3mm.
I-Wood Pro+
Pro+ is often used as ceiling cladding and comes with finger joints as standard, providing seamless joints if the panels are joined lengthwise.
The panels are made with milled acoustic fields on the back, allowing sound to travel up through the felt. With I-Wood Pro+ and any mineral wool backing, you get the most optimal acoustics of any I-Wood acoustic panels.
Size:
I-Wood Pro+ comes in a standard size of 2400mm and 2780mm. Width is 300mm.
Panels with a length over 2400mm will be without finger joints.
Width on slat: 34mm | Width on milling: 16mm | Thickness on slat: 10mm | Thickness on felt: 3mm.
Finger joints are 150mm at each end of the panel.
I-Wood Pro - Class Two Cladding
I-Wood Pro has by far the same features as Pro+ and is usually used for ceiling cladding as it has finger joints.
The difference lies in the fact that the Pro panels have a second MDF board fitted to the back, which constitutes a class 2 cladding in terms of fire.
For this reason, the Pro panels also do not have acoustic fields milled into the back of the MDF board, like Pro+.
