Starting of a Patio Heater on Gas
Not all outdoor gas fireplaces or patio heaters for gas are lit in the same way. However, the system is very similar when it comes to getting flame in the product.
Typically, such products are divided into automatic and manual. These concepts cover the ignition and navigation of the heat source. The automatic ones can in some cases be remotely controlled via a WiFi, Bluetooth or remote control system. This does not apply to the manuals, which are always operated directly on the device.
Start-up on a manual gas heater typically takes place just like a fairly ordinary gas grill. You can see our gas patio heaters here:
How to Turn on a Muztag Heater with a Manual Ignition
First of all, assemble your Muztag patio heater according to the instructions. Next, a gas cylinder tank is placed at the bottom of the heat source, which is connected via a regulator to the burner of the heater.
Then transfer gas to the unit. This is done by opening up the gas on the bottle. Typically, you simply turn the key on the regulator so that the red flame appears on top. Then push in the burner wheels so that you can hear the gas running through the hose. Hold the wheel for approx. 20-30 seconds and then turn right at the same time so you can hear the starter click. Now a small blue pilot flame starts inside the burner. Release wheels and adjust the size of the flame using the barometer.
When switching off the patio heater again, remember to shut down both the heater and the gas bottle. Note that your heater can be quite hot. Therefore, it is a good idea to let it cool down before moving the unit. The same is true when it comes to covering it again with a special rain cover.
A Muztag product contains a manual gas heater. The same goes for producers Sunwood and Enders. Planika Fires delivers solution with both manual and electric starter.

Lighting of a Happy Cocooning Fireplace with an Electric Ignition
All Happy Cocooning products come with an automatic ignition. They are also called electric starters. Their models have connected with a standard AAA battery on the starter itself. It needs to be replaced as needed. The battery is used minimally and therefore rarely needs to be replaced.
You must, as with all other gas heaters, connect your gas cylinder properly to the burner. Many of Happy Cocooning's models are patio tables where there can be no gas bottle underneath. Some models can hold (hide) a 5 kg gas bottle, while others may have one standing at a distance from the table. Fortunately, Happy Cocooning produces bottle caps in the same design as their tables. Therefore, you can simply use the concealer as a seat or extra table.
Igniting is done by adjusting the flame wheel to exactly the size you want. Then click on the start button. Flames start up slowly after which you can now enjoy your patio heater.
Planika Fires and Happy Cocooning supply patio heaters for gas with electric starters.
