Cassette 500 Retail Opti-myst hybrid fireplace burner

Here you get a large Dimplex Opti-myst Cassette of 50 cm in width. The Cassette is specially designed to be used in Do-It-Yourself projects, where you wish to build your own Opti-myst water vapour fireplace.

Opti-myst is a technology developed by Dimplex and is a way of creating 3-dimensional flame effects using water vapours and LED-lights. This creates a fantastic flame-effect and the fireplaces are often called Opti-myst, Hybrid, or Water vapour fireplaces. 

As standard, the Dimplex Cassette 500 features a black metal top plate. But is it possible to purchase a set of decoration logs, which can be placed on top of the Cassette and add to the effect of a real fire.

Hybrid fireplaces like the Dimplex Cassette 500 can be installed and used in a lot of different places and settings since it does not require a connection to a flue system. It only requires a connection to an electrical outlet. Dimplex Cassette 500 does not have any heat effect and is therefore perfect for newer houses, where you don't need the additional heat from the fire, but only wish to enjoy the cosy atmosphere that a fireplace provides.

Additionally, the Cassette 500 has a built-in sound module that can create sparkling fireplace sound effects.

Manual Water Refilling

This version of the Dimplex Optimyst Cassette 500 is equipped with a water reservoir that needs to be filled with water to create the flame effect. One water refill provides flames for approximately 8-12 hours, depending on the flame effect.

Decoration Logset

• Logset 500 - is a logset with built-in lighting effects and has a width of 509 mm and fits the size of the Cassette 500.
• Logset 500L - also has built-in lighting effects, but is 725 mm and will thereby make the Cassette a bit wider when the logset is fitted

Requires Fixed Water Connection

Cassette 500 Project requires a connection to a fixed water supply.

Being connected to a fixed water supply means that the cassette is automatically refilled with water when necessary. You will never have to manually refill the cassette with water - it happens completely automatically!

The model with automatic water connection can also be used with an external water container and a special water pump. Please contact our customer service for more information on this.

Dimplex Cassette 500 Retail Multicolor Optimyst Hybrid Fireplace

Here you get a Dimplex OptiMyst burner of 50 cm in width. The burner is particularly suitable for do-it-yourself projects where you want to build your own OptiMyst water vapour fireplace.

The Opti-Myst technology was developed by Dimplex and is a technology that creates a 3-dimensional flame effect using water vapour and LED light. This gives a completely unique flame effect, and these types of fireplaces are often called Optimyst fireplaces, Hybrid fireplaces or water vapour fireplaces.

Dimplex Cassette 500 consists of a 50 cm wide firebox and as standard has a top plate in black metal. You can, however, purchase a set of decorative trees that can be placed on top of the Cassette.

Hybrid fireplaces such as the Dimplex Cassette 500 can be installed and used in many different places, as they do not require a flue or chimney. They just need to be connected to power. Dimplex Cassette 500 has no heating effect, and can therefore be perfect for new builds and newer houses, where you don't need extra heat from the fire, but just want the coziness of the flames.

Multi-coloured flames

This version of the Cassette 500 is equipped with multi-coloured LED lights that allow the flame effects to change colour. The flame colors can be adjusted to light blue, dark blue, violet, red and yellow, or any combination of them all. But only one colour at a time.

The flame colors can can be adjusted with an App on the phone and gives the opportunity to tailor the flame colours to exactly your interior and mood.

Manual water refill system

The Retail version of Cassette 500 Multicolor comes with a water tank, which has a capacity of approximately 1 litre. This water tank needs refilling every 8-12 hours of use.

Decoration tree

NOTE: Decorative tree shown in some of the pictures and video are extra. 

There are two different sets of decorative wood for the Cassette 500 Multicolor that can add extra realism to your Opti-Myst fireplace. The two types of decorative wood are similar but in two different sizes:

• Logset 500 - Decorative tree with built-in light effect that is 509 mm wide and therefore matches the width of the Cassette 500.
• Logset 500L - Also has built-in light effects but is 725 mm in width and thus makes the Cassette wider when it is mounted.

Cleaning

The Dimplex Cassette should be cleaned regularly to avoid limescale build-up.

It is also recommended to close the water supply and empty the Cassette of water if it is not to be used for a longer period (2 weeks).

Dimplex Cassette 500 Multicolor Hybrid Fire Insert

Here, you get an Opti-Myst fire insert that is 50 cm wide. The fire insert is specially designed for do-it-yourself projects where you want to build your own Opti-Myst water vapor fireplace.

This provides a completely unique flame effect, and the fireplaces are often referred to as Opti-Myst fireplaces, Hybrid fireplaces, or water vapor fireplaces.

Dimplex Cassette 500 consists of a fire insert that is 50 cm wide and comes with a standard black metal top plate. However, a set of decorative wood can be purchased, which can be placed on top of the insert.

Hybrid fireplaces like Dimplex Cassette 500 can be installed and used in many different places, as they do not require a chimney. They only need to be connected to electricity. Dimplex Cassette 500 has no heating effect and can therefore be perfect for new builds and newer houses where you do not need extra heat from the fire, but just want the coziness of the flames.

Multi-Colored Flames

Water Connection

The fixed water connection means that Cassette 500 automatically draws water when the fireplace needs to be refilled. That way, you will never manually have to refill the fireplace with water.

Cleaning

Cassette 500 uses a transducer to create water vapor. They wear out over time and should be replaced after approximately 6-12 months of use.
